20" Chrome Clad rims? Plastic?

i think it's better that they're chrome clad. You imagine the warranty issues and complaints people would have when their rims starting pitting, oxidizing, rusting, whatnot... For anyone that doesn't know, maintaining chrome rims are a serious PITA and are even harder when on a truck due to the possible off-roading...

Since Chrysler has offered chrome clads they've had countless thousands of warranty claims mainly due to the outer aluminum lip pitting/corroding... common in areas that apply winter salt. I've also seen instances of cracked cladding in winter when water gets behind and freezes. A local wheel shop makes nice living repairing/refinishing chrome clads.

When I was truck shopping, Chevy and Ford also sold plastic covered chrome wheels. It's all the rage.

All OEM rim/tire combinations could stand for an upgrade. These look nice so I'm happy for now. I don't really care much how or what they made them with as long as they prove to be durable and not (comparably) heavy.

Yes they do clean up nice but I only notice when cleaning them with my brush of the plastic "TONK" sound of the plastic on plastic bumping.
