I usually reset the PCM (on my old car, haven't had to on the truck) before I worry. Sometimes they go away and there is no problem.

I took the truck to the dealership this morning and it turns out that there is a "short valve" on the intake manifold that needs to be replaced. They'll have to order the part. This is a part that needs to be replaced on a lot of 3.5 engines.

It also turns out that there are 4 Rapid Response Items (same as Technical Service Bulletins in GM speak) on the 09 Rams. One of the items is the temperature sensor - that also includes a wiring harness. I don't know what the other 3 items were, but they said that they'd need the truck for a whole day to make all the repairs. They'll give me a call when the part comes in.

What's funny is that they cleared the check engine light so it was off. As soon as I hit the freeway it went on again. I stopped at McDonalds to get bite and when I started the truck and took off again, the light was out.
