Default Check Engine Light

I've just turned 4000 miles on my truck and the Check Engine Light has come on now for the 3rd time.

The first time was when the truck only had about 600 miles on it. I took it to the stealership and had it checked. It turned out to be a sensor in the intake that reset itself and on the next ignition cycle would have shut the light off.

The next one came at about 1400 miles. That one cleared itself after a few days.

Now just last night it came on again. It seems that it always happens when I'm on the freeway and give it gas to pass someone.

Has anyone else out there in Ramville had this happen to them?

I can't help you with the CEL problem, but speaking from experience, don't hesitate getting the problem checked out. If I hadn't taken my 07.5 Dodge Diesel in as often as I did for the CEL, I would have missed the requirements needed to have Chrysler replace the truck. Good luck with you're situation, I hope its an easy fix.

3,350 miles and no lights and no oil change yet.

Do you have any mods on the truck?

Yeah, a sprayed-in bed liner.

Did you get the codes on each one, or just the first?

I haven't check it with a code reader yet. I'm going to take it to the stealership tomorrow and see what the problem is (or what they say it is).

Does the key trick not work anymore? It is possible the steps will work in the 4th Gen. If it does post the code here.
