I just got out of a Dodge Neon SRT-4. I had that because I was driving 120 miles a day. Before that I had a 2005 Ram QC, before that another car, before that an 2003 Ram QC, and before that a 1998 Dakota.

I have never had any major problems with Dodge. I believe it is all about proper maintenance.

I am 27 and currently am stationed in Iowa.

Had a '99 Dakota extended cab; then '00 Dakota Quad. Bumped it to an '04 Ram 1500 Quad in '03. The lease was up on the '04 and got a great buy deal on an '09 Ram 1500 Crew rather than refinance the residual.

'98 Ford ZX2, '99 Ford ZX2, '98 Ranger, '04 Infiniti G35, '84 Corvette, '05 Ram 1500 RCLB, '85 Corvette, '06 Mazda6, '06 Crossfire Roadster, '07 Ram 1500 QC Laramie, '08 Corvette, '09 Ram 1500.

As you can see I've been back and forth and all over the board. The cars were when I drove more (200 miles/day for 1 year) and the trucks were when I needed them towing/hauling. A lot of those overlapped as well. But when it comes to full size trucks I've been a Dodge guy.

First Ram Hemi crew for me too. I had a 97 F150 before. I really like the looks and the drive. It's a good thing I did NOT do my homework as Chrysler did not even make it with any vehicle in Consumer Reports. I also read an article today in this forum detailing the unreliability of Chrysler products. If I had done my homework, Chrysler would not have even been on my list. I just hope they are wrong and I really got what I paid handsomely for. Age 53. State SC.

I test drove Chevy, Ford, Nissan and Toyota full size trucks and liked the Ram the best. So did the wife.

I never considered dodge before either because of reliability issues. Lifetime warranty was the seller for me. Now that I own one, I've noticed many, many more old dodges on the road in my area than old fords or chevys. Has to be a good sign. I've had reliability issues in all of my fords or chevys, dodge can't be any worse.

As far as trucks go, I've only owned 2 GM products. 66 chevy and 78 gmc, all other trucks have been Dodge. Chrysler has had reliability problems in the past but most of these problems were with their cars. I've never had a dodge truck leave me stranded and have really not had many problems with them at all. I will say that before Lee Iacoca took over, I was pretty much done with dodge/chrysler, not because of the vehicles not running, but because fit/finish really sucked, and small things would break, not things that kept you from driving but mostly things that just bothered the hell out of you. Also, the dealers (at least her in San Antonio) were just plain a-holes most of the time. Quality really improved once Iacoca took over, and has gotten better every year since. With that said, I believe the 09 has really jumped light years ahead of where dodge used to be. Are there still going to be warranty issues, sure there will but preceived quality is really all about how the problems are handled by dodge and their dealers. I've been in a dodge truck since 1978. I traded in my 2008 Lexus IS 250 for my 2009 RAM SLT 1500. I needed another truck to tow our camper and atv's with. We have a Tahoe and a 2001 v6 SC Silverado but the v6 just would not tow either of the trailers worth a ****. lol...
