Has anyone replaced their grill?
Mine came painted. They asked for the vin (I don't know why) to get the color match. Maybe the colors change slightly through the production cycle?

Ordered mine from Art today. I will be glad to get rid of the chrome on chrome grill I have now on my sport. Thanks for the tip about Art, it save me some $$$ over my local dealer.
yea, x2 on the thanks here mopowar. I have the same blue with the chrome setup you started with and have been wondering what happened to the body color grill as well but wasn't sure how it would look with these 20" chrome clad wheels. I like it !
Id like to see one of these as well....
I've got the chrome grille on my Sport as well, but would rather have the painted one (inferno red). Has anyone had their chrome grill painted? Is that even possible and does anyone know how much a body shop would charge for that? Or does it make more since to have my dealer order the color matched TRX grille and try selling my chrome one? I'm gonna get the painted grille, but I'm trying to figure out the cheapest way to go about it.
For the price you can get the new one for it is not worth the effort to paint the old one, especailly when you consider you can sell your old grill on EBay and put it right back in the box your new one came in.
I'm wanting a body colored grille, but only the shell. I want to keep the chrome grilles (my truck is black). But I had my grille out yesterday to replace one of my HID lights (Don't purchase any kits from ShopXenon.com they don't return calls or answer emails - XenonPros.com is another name they use also. IntenesHID.com is where I got my replacement bulbs - these guys are great and the have better quality items, and they were cheaper then other guys).
...and now back to my grill story - I was looking at how the grilles are installed in the shell and it looks like they are intergraded into the structure of the grille shell, so the only way to have the grilles remain chrome is to paint the grille shell. I talked to my body and paint guy and he told me that they don't have paint anymore that will stick to the plastic chrome. The EPA has removed all the solvents that will allow the paint to adhere to the plastic chrome, so the first rock chip you get can and will cause the paint to peel.
So it looks like a factory gille shell with the black grilles will be the only way to go for me.

Just ordered a color matched grille for my Sport from Henson Motors. They knew exactly what I wanted without needing a VIN and only charged me $216 + $26 for express shipping. I should have it by Thurs or Fri. Thanks for the tip mopowar!
