When I got home I have to get out and do some stuff. I don't plan on going anywhere with it right away, driving my 72 chevy right now. Since I cannot get into the truck very easy.

The lock should disappear when it is in park and reappear when you are driving.

I think the average distance traveled PER TRIP since the last oil change was one of them, as well as oil temperatures, outside temperature, speeds traveled, etc. These things are easily monitored by modern engine management systems, and can be used to calculate a pretty accurate estimate of oil life.

I would have to agree.

I changed mine for the 1st time with 4200 miles on the truck with Full Synthetic Oil. I now have 12,000 on it and the light just came on. Pretty good life 7,800 miles on Synthetic. Most of my driving was on the highway and about 20% was towing or hauling some of my toys around to different spots.

Now my 09 says you have to use a oil with detergent in it and I did not think that Synthetic had that? And it also mentions a pretty watery oil 5W 20 Anyway I have dedided since I took it to the dealer cuz the running boards were rattling. I could fix it but why should I. Well they said nothing they can do, it's the design. I said you can't put some rubber were it's rattling. They said its the design, I said then give me some that are designed right. They are working on it. In the mean time I had my bro inlaw get under there with a couple pieces of thin rubber and I pushed on them and he put the rubber in the spot where it was rattling. Fixed for now LOL, if it's not in the manual they can't fix it........so no more dealer for me. Sorry guys I know it helps keep you in business but hell you don't even rotate tires as per the recommended pattern, when I question it they say that is the way we do it.......ya in the 70's when radials would fall apart if put on the opposite side.
