Default True dual install today

I'm having true dual exhaust installed on my 09. I'm leaving the tail pipes with the resonators. I'm having 2 straight thru magnaflow mufflers put in with and x pipe using all three inch pipe. This is the way this thing should have come from the factory. How loud is this gonna be? I want it loud. I left the resonators in before the tips just incase it was so loud at least that would help and if i want it louder after the install i can always take out the resonators later on. what do you guys think. i know i will gain alot of rwhp with this setup

Dude, your truck is going to sound awsome!! I have a single 18" magnaflow on my 09 hemi CC (dual tips w/resonators) and I absolutely love the muscle truck rumble. The sound change from factory to magnaflow is huge. It gives you an instant smile, however be warned!! Your MPG will drop because you become addicted to the magnaflow song at 5,000 RPM, unleashing the hemi beast. Anyway, it's theraputic for me. The x pipe is a good idea, let us know how it comes out. Curious if you will see any performance gains, I know it can't hurt. I'm waiting for some nice headers and perfomance tune to come out myself. Good Luck, DALE GAS!!

might as well take the resonators out, i dont think you're going to see any performance gains, you're essentially straight piping your truck. The trucks stock system is made with the performance aspects in mind.

Just got the truck back. Souds great. I will have pics up soon. It's loud but not as loud as I thought it would be. Cabin is very tolerable. I might have to take the resonators off because I am never satisfied. Overall a very nice job. Truck sounds racey as heck. Sounds like my 03 cobra with magnapacks. love it. Its kinda quiet at idle i think those resonators really hold some of the sound down.

I'd be interested to see a before/after power comparison between stock and something like what you have, on the same dyno.

me too iwould love to see the power comparsion. If ihad to guess it gained more on the top end then the low which would be good for a 1/4 mile run with these trucks. she is def. breathing better and is alot more touchy. If I had to guessI would say 10 to 15 RWHP no more no less.

P.S. How do I upload pics on this site?

Good job Superdodge33! I'm thinking of doing the exact same thing to my truck that you just did to yours.

I put a Magnaflow comp series exhaust on my Challenger, and the first thing I noticed was how much more touchy it was to any throttle input. The engine seems to jump right now when you give it any gas at all, and I had a hard time not lighting up the tires if I drove with the ESP turned off. It was almost to the point of being hard to drive initially, until I got used to it. I don't know if it made any more actual power, but it sure does respond a lot quicker. Is that the same thing you are noticing with your Ram, namely, much quicker throttle response?
