Yep-I disable it everytime I drive, by belting myself in. Works like a charm, easy on the windshield too if I wreck.

1. Ignition OFF - buckle your belt.
2. Start engine & wait for the Seat Belt Warning Light to turn off.
3. Within 60 seconds of starting vehicle, unbuckle then re-buckle driver's seat belt at least three times within 10 seconds, ending with belt buckled.

Works like a charm. I disabled the chime on my Dodge truck and my Dodge car by using the same routine. I still use the seatbelt if I drive anywhere, but no more annoying ding ding ding when all I'm doing it moving the truck from one side of the driveway to the other.

Thanks, that is such a pain in the rear. I use mine when I'm driving, but on the farm I'm in and out too much to bother with it. Besides if I wreak into something going 5 mile an hour, I deserve what ever I get.

I was able to disable it without starting the engine. Buckle on, Key on, unbuckle/buckle x3, key off (beep confirmation).
