Default Vehicle Jack

I know this is dumb question, but here goes anyway. Why is there no jack, but there is a spare? The spare is no good if you cannot put it on. Does everyone drag around a floor jack with them?

I noticed something strange this weekend also, I dropped my spare to mount my hitch and noticed the spare said "for temporary use only"! Whats up with that? Its a full size Goodyear tire!

was this a serious question

lol they dont expect everyone to carry a floor jack with them but i'm sure they expect users to read the owners manual

Tires age so they are covering their asses. If you used that tire 6 years down the road they dont want to be held liable. If you use it now there shouldnt be any problems

Don't feel bad. I had to break out the manual to find it myself.
My older Dodge Ram was under the rear seat.

I do not know if all the spares are the same. TRX maybe different. 17"...
Mine is a P235/85R 17 on a basic black steel rim with hardly any tread.
I have P275/60R 20's on the truck. Chrome plated 20" rims....for now.
Limp to the nearest tire place on that temp spare!

I have looked at adding a real spare. No way on my truck.
Exhaust and tow support bar very close with the small tire.
