Default weatherstripping sticks out after I close the back door

guys,
after I close the rear door on my 09 1500 SLT Crew Cab, I end up with a flap of rubber "folded out" about 6 inches from the top of the door. Anyone else have that problem?? Also had a wierd water intrusion after a blowing Tstorm, I had water droplets on the inside of the drivers door panel where it would close up w/ the dashboard. And yes the aforementioned flap was not sticking out during this storm. I always open the drivers door after closing the rear door just to make sure all the rubber weatherstripping is where it should be.

Any help out there.

Dave

No help but I can tell you that I had the same issue with the BigHorn I originally had. Maybe take it to the dealer.

HA!!! Mine did the exact same thing but after the humidity went up outside for the first time since I bought it, it seems to work fine now.

Have the dealer replace the weather stripping.

I just had a similar problem and whe I took it to the dealer, they told me per Chrysler tey have to try and fix it before they can replace it. I made an appointment to take it in and in the mean time, I had a buddy who is a manager of a body shop look at it. I guess molded inside the weather stripping is two thin pieces of metal. Mu buddy squeezed the weather stripping between his fingers and pinched the metal together. He stuck the weather stripping back on the pinch weld on the door and that fixed my problem. I guess the metal got spread apart and didn't have the presure to hold onto the pinch weld.
