Those bf's are pretty sweet but I don't want them to rub. I priced the coopers and grapplers. coopers are $160 and the grapplers are over $200.
Can I go a little bigger without a rub?I like the treads on the grapplers

jaf: Those DO look nice...
I gave up a set on the '03 Dakota trade-in with 20K+ miles and tread near new...

Are your 285's "LT" or "P" ?? LT gives another .5in tread depth and stronger sidewalls and bead. I learned my lessons on the Dakota and will insist on LT for my new 09 Ram.

Cooper discoverer stt are a nice m/t and so are toyo m/t. had toyos on my 06 and were great but the cooper being a lil skinnyer are nicer in the snow. Another tire that looks unreal is the BF KM2's. they are a m/t but also i guess you could say a rock crawler inspired tire. those will probably be what i get next when i run these coopers down.

Sorry about the late response to the questions...

They are LT! Mine rub only in a rare circumstance...it only rubs when the tire is turned hitting a dip. It is not a bad rub b/c I have inspected the tire and don't see any signs of rubbing. I think it is hitting the bottom edge of the tire well cover but I can't tell. The dealer told me that 285 was the largest I could go with the level kit. More lift will fit larger tires!

My level kit was the front spacers only!
