Default More Recall Notices

I just received THREE more recall notices on my 09 Ram. This truck is my fourth new generation model truck. My 02 Ram was great about this stuff. I only had two recalls in the 7 years that I owned it. I now have a total of five for my 09. What is weird is that none have come from Chrysler like my other trucks. These notices keep coming from the service dept of my selling dealer. What's with that? I should be notified by the manufacturer.

09-024 Creaking sound from seat
09-023 Park assist flash
09-020 Rear vent hose

Has anyone else received these and who did they come from? Any info about the recalls appreciated.

Typically dealerships send out the notices. I don't know how or why you were getting them directly from the manufacturer. Someone else posted these up in another thread though. There is a whole list of them coming out. Not surprised since this is the first year for the new gen...it happens.

I took mine in to get a lock fixed and they told me that they made these changes. They said that they were not recalls, but some other world like general warnings or something like that.

The only one I havn't heard about was the Park assist flash. The other two was a simple hose replacement and a little grease under the seat.

Recalls are saftey related problems and you may get notices from Chrysler. The Rapid Response Tranmittals go out to service dealers and then out to customers for repair. Typically these will say something like "when your in for your next service..." They can usually wait, but the saftey recalls should be fixed ASAP.

I purchased mine in Feb. I also have not received any recalls or other notices from the dealer or chrysler. I did a search tonight from the dodge owner site and based on my vin, it came back that their are no recalls or customer satisfaction notices from my vehicle.

One big difference in my current truck vs all of my other new gens is that the change over was several months along when I bought. My 09 is 8-08 build and I bet that is causing me to needs several more "fixes" than just a new gen. You guys that buy now most likely will have fewer recalls.

My build date is also around that time, could you send me all five "fixes". I want to check with my dealer and see if this had been done before I bought it.

If you guys go to dodge.com and go to the owners section, you can type in your VIN and it will let you know if there are any recalls that haven't been fixed for your vehicle.
