I used a cinder block wall to adjust my headlights. That way they are both aligned level, then I go and drive around and make sure my headlights don't shoot over the trunks of the majority of the cars out there, then fine tune them up or down. If they are aligned too high Johnny Law might have a reason to pull you over for that and find something else to bust you for.....

Bountyhunter, How did you go about wiring the fogs to stay on with the high beams?

Question 1500 Headlight Removal

Hi all, I'm wanting to change the bulbs on my 09 1500 Laramie. I'm not quite sure how to remove the headlight assy to gain access to the bulb. Any comments?

Also, I know it's been mentioned, but what bulbs are recommended here for a legal improvement over stock?

Thanks, BK

I love this guy...

Not only confirming the adjustment trick for the Ram, but being conscientious of everyone else on the road. That's important for me, as my other car - daily driver - is low-slung enough that my eye-level is below the headlight mount level of the Ram. And there is nothing more blinding than coming head-on to a full-size truck with sky-high beams...

(For those who don't live in the Southwest - cinderblocks are the most common fence material for most subdivisions out here. Thatmarkguy's alighment trick just won't work as well if you have a picket or wood-slat fence... )

Had mine adjusted at the dealer today. I hope that fixes it. they screwed up two of the rapid response items. . . But for the lights, they said they were WAY low. I'll have to wait and see. . .

Don't tell my wife I told her the truck needs a lift kit to fix it. when I told her the price she said I could live with it for awhile.

It is rather surprising just how low the high beams are aimed. I don't have a problem with the low beams, I think those are pretty good, but like mentioned before, when you switch over to high beams, the light beam doesn't go any higher at all. That makes the high beams useless. They really need to make it so the high beams are aimed higher from the factory so we could keep the low beams where they are.

I was also shocked to find out the fog lights perform better than the headlights.
