Default 2009 Dodge Ram Headlight problem

YES!! I agree 100%. I have a 2009 Ram 1500....with the double stage bulbs and no fog lights. My lights are horrible! I researched an HID kit for my truck but most comments say that the problem is with the shape of the light and not necessarily the bulb itself. I've readjusted the hight myself but still not making much difference. Any other suggestions on how i could update/modify the headlights?

LMAO, This sounds like something I would tell my wife. Next you need to start reminding her about it by complaining about how hard it is to see and then tell her you almost hit a deer or something and that it is a matter of safety. Then get your lift!!! HAHAHA I thought what you said was hilarious.

I just cranked up my lights 4 cranks and I already had a 1.5 inch leveling kit. WOW, what a difference. I cannot beleive they set these lights so low. I drove down a long dark road and I could actually see without using my highbeams, I also got behind a couple of cars and I was not lighting up the car in front of me. Looks like I saved myself from spending money on new fog lights.

That makes the high beams useless. They really need to make it so the high beams are aimed higher from the factory so we could keep the low beams where they are.

I was also shocked to find out the fog lights perform better than the headlights.
If you are the car in front of you you would understand why they are not pointed high. In the city who cares but out in the country I could see the problem. Any moron that hooks their high beams with their fogs lights totally defeats the purpose of fog lights. The idea is the light goes under the fog so you have some visibility, high beams just make a wall. I used to drive nightly for a few years from Windsor On to Toronto On about 220 miles one way and the truck with their lights being up so high and then they people who forget they have their highbeams on is very hard on the eyes.

Can someone pinpoint exactly where the hole with the arrow pointing to it is? I gave a quick look the other night...in the dark...and didn't see it. This surprises me because I'm usually pretty good at finding holes...even without an arrow!

Mine was just the opposite as a lot here, the low beams were aimed up way too high IMO. Had to drop them down a few turns, it was lighting up smaller cars pretty good I was following and I kept getting flashed by oncoming cars.

I agree on the high beams, I have the quad lights, they really dont do anything it seems. Even in the country when its pitch black its like turning on a flashlight when you hit the high beams. But this is one of the few pickups I had where the driving lights really make a difference.

As much as the overall lighting does suck its still better then a car with the old non-halogen sealed beams.
