Dodge is Killing me
These deals are pretty sweet and of course i'm having to buy a new house due to moving out west for a new Job and putting my old ford out to pasture isnt going to happen this summer at least. I was thought it was odd that non dodger guys pay more. Seems they would want to chip way at the ford / chevy / toyota guys and pick up some market share.

I really dont understand the pricing at all (even before the bankruptcy).
I bought mine 3 weeks ago for 30% off list (or so). EPP+ and the "customer cash" didnt come close to the deal I got. So that means either the dealer ate the difference (which I strongly doubt, or they would be gone), or there is a private arrangement with dealer incentives/rebates/whatever that is unknown to the man on the street.
Basically, they figured the numbers on the first pass based on the EPP+ and "Customer cash". Those numbers werent bad, but nowhere near where I wanted to be (and knew I could be with another dealer). They went away and sharpened their pencils and came back $3500 lower. How can that be? I'm not sure the dealer has that kind of money in the MSRP. They have to turn a profit, or they won't be there next year when I need them.
I just don't get it. MSRP and "this month's incentives" mean jack $hit, it seems to me. What price will all the local dealers sell the same/similar truck for? That's the price of the truck (which may not be the VALUE of it). If there's only a couple hundred between dealers, I would then prefer to buy on "dealer merit", rather than price. It's worth paying $300 more to deal with the guy down the road vs 50 miles away. Especially in a year or two when I need warranty and the service guy is being an ***.
Still kinda confused, the normal rules of buying vehicles seem to be out of the window for the time being.

Not a bad deal if you think about it. For a fairly loaded Ram of 45k you would have..
4000k rebate
1000k owner loyalty
1000k credit union
4000k mark up in the truck
Total of 10k plus the dealer incentive which is probably about 2 to 4k and could take the discount over 13k.
And for the most desperate dealers another 1200k for the holdback...

Dealer Cash is showing as $3500 on Edmunds. Check for yourselves.
So from what we have heard so far:
$4000 Cash Rebate
$1000 Credit Union Rebate
$500 Military Rebate
$3500 Dealer Cash
$1000 Dodge Loyalty Rebate
Based on what I'm seeing it's about $750 better than what I just got ($46745 MSRP with $33,400 Purchase Price) although of course I got the 0% for 48 months.

The insentives offered are based on location. I bought my truck 2 weeks ago. I got beter insentives than I found in other parts of the country. I'm in the Mid-Atlantic region. My trx4 stickered for 39,000 and I got 7,500 off with all the insentives. I think they were Chrysler finance -$1000, Hemi engine -$1000 and EPP around -$5500. At least I think that was what I got, I ordered it in march and the dealer said he held the insentives for my April delivery, but I know for sure that I got $7500 off MSRP. To me it really don't matter how they wrote it up, I felt that $31,500 was a good deal for what I was getting. With tax, title, and my 85,000 mile bumper to bumper warrenty that I payed around $1,400 for, I walked out the door paying a total of $35,000. With $10,000 down and 72 months at 5.79% interest Im paying 400 a month. I've heard of better deals but I was happy with mine, because I've heard of worse deals too.

The CORRECT incentives
There is alot of wrong information floating around on here regarding incentives. Forget Edmunds, CNN, or the rest of the sources that are giving you wrong information. I have attached the current incentive structure effective May 7th right from our computer system. This is what we get as dealers. These are correct. The incentives for 5 of the 8 Chrysler business centers are here. The remaining 3 I can't attach because they exceed my limit for the site. The 3 that aren't here are the Northeast, Mid-Atlantic, and Southeast business centers. Sorry.
