Well I bought an 09 Ram Quad Cab and hate the huge chrome ram head on the tailgate. Do any company's make aftermarket replacements or is it still to early for that? I have searched with no luck.

 

don't know anything about that, sorry, but if you pull the emblem I will buy it off of you.

 

Well, the emblem is recessed, so if you remove it you will be left with an indentation. Not sure what you'd want to replace it with?

 

I saw a couple on ebay today. IIRC they were less than $20. I was kicking around the idea of buying one and painting it deep water blue to match the body color. There is a guy on the other forum that painted the background of the one the grill to match body color and it looked sharp. I ordered a couple of cans of paint today to do that. If I have any left, I may try to do something with the one on the tailgate

 

Yeah, I could tell it was recessed, that's why I was hoping someone made something other than a ram head. Oh well. I'm sure in time someone will make something for it.

 

I don't like the emblem either. I wish someone made something better. Even a deceptagon logo would be better.

 

i think i may take mine off to paint it matte black.

 

In my search for finding a an emblem to take measurements, etc for creating a new machined emblem for my 09 Dodge tailgate emblem, I came across this thread.

Funny thing about someone mentioning a Deceptagon replacement emblem. That's exactly what I'm trying to create.

I need exact measure measurements do to the recession in the tail gate.

Moe's performance makes billet ones for the 05-08s and I think he will eventually make them for the 09's. They are really nice, if anyone know someone else that does billet, see if they can.
