Default MyGIG Question

Guys,

Looking to put a MyGIG in my Truck, couple of questions.
  • Does it interface with the steeringwheel control's?
  • What do I need for parts (parts list would be cool) to add a back-up Camera?
  • Not sure if I am going to do a LP or not.
  • Any problems with using it with the Alpine system.
  • It is going to be a REN, no GPS needed here
Thanks!

Everything should just plug into the back of the REN. As for the camera, there is a thread on here somewhere about adding them. They are on national back order last I heard on here.

Great upgrade huh? I love mine. I haven't messed with the camera though. Just a tip, I don't know how old yours might be but upgrading the software is a good idea for performance of the radio.

nope, no charge at least during your warranty period. they will probably stop updating them soon after the factory warranty runs out.

my gig - computer that houses downloaded music files and contact info on the head unit.
REN - certain version of head unit (identifiable on bottom right of head unit)

If you have the $800 uconnect tunes on your window sticker, you have the REN. If you have the $1895 (I think) with navigation you have an RER. MyGig is generic name for either of these radios. They have hard drives. http://mofv.com/mygig/
