That was the one thing I didn't like about their design. Some of the other brands had a 1 piece front mat. I'll have to take a look under the stock mat, and if there are the holes you describe I'll just cut the stock one up and re-finish the edges.

There are no better floor mats out there, IMO. Definitely worth the money...I waited and waited for them to be available (bought in Feb). Had them in my '05 now in the '09.

They showed up today. The front mats fit really well, the back mat fit is good but not as good as the front. I see what you meant about the slits in the carpet on the center hump now. Wonder why they did that? Anyway, looks like it will be easy enough to cut up my stock front mat to fix the problem.

the good news is the liners do not move at all with the stock mat under them. (even though you can't get the floor hooks on them)

I just cut the stock mat right above where it hit the footwells on each side, so it was behind the high sides of the weathertechs. Worked fine. I did email them and ask if they were considering making a center mat for those of us with bench seats.

mine are on the way from a shop i deal with at a slight discount.

do you have to keep your stock mats in place under the weather techs? seems kind of weird. i have had huskys in other vehicles but never left the stock mat in.....

No, you don't have to leave the stock mats under. But if you have the bench seat in the front, they don't cover the center hump and there are a couple long ugly slits in the carpet there.

So you can either leave the whole front carpet mat there, cut out the center of the mat like I did, or just not worry about looking at the slits.

LOL - this keeps getting better. First thing this morning Fedex shows up with a second set of floor mats from weathertech. So after having all these problems getting them to actually ship my order, they shipped it twice?

The packing list is even more confusing.

The first set shows Front Mat 442161 and rearmat 442163 (set 44216-1-3)
The 2nd set shows Front Mat 442161 and rearmat 442162 (set 44216-1-2)

Wonder what the difference is? Guess I'll be calling them today, I doubt that they are going to want to let me keep an extra set of $200 floor mats. (EDIT - nope, they are sending a call tag)

oldjeep,
be sure you got the correct rear liner (since you said it didn't fit as well). mine could not fit any better in the back. if they sent you a crew cab instead of a quad cab (or vise versa) it will make a huge difference.
