Default WeatherTech - made to order?

Ordered some of the digital fit floor mats for my crew cab on Sunday. I was wondering when they would ship and got this yesterday:

Thank you for your interest in MacNeil Automotive.

The FloorLiners are build to order products that usually ship from our manufacturing plant about a week after they receive the information. Since the order was transferred to the production facility on Monday I would expect the parts to ship early next week. Once FedEx scans the package they will email the tracking number to you.

Made to order floormats? Seems awfull inefficient, must be why they are so expensive. Hope they ship soon, I'm living in a construction zone at the moment and want to keep all the crap out of the carpet.

My understanding is that how they do all of thier floormats. I read it sometime back in on eo fthe major car mags. It may seem inefficient on one end, but it also saves them from having to inventory items (saving sapce) and they never have to "blow out" overstock, taking a loss. If there was a competitor to them making the same product at a similar price and who did stock it, that would likely throw a wrench in their plans since we are such an "instant gratification" society, but for now it works.

Guess it just bugs me that they don't mention any of that when they take your money. (Website order) I would have bought something else if they had said that they were not in stock.

I know what you mean I am going thru a similar situation with some parts for my old classic 72 Chevy. I found out the front wheels were rubbing when turning corners on the lower control arm, so I ordered some spacers from EZ accessory and that was May 7 and they charge for priority post. When I call some claim they havent' been shipped, others say they got lost in the mail when I email I get other stories. They have promised me they are sending them I would assume Tuesdayis it not a long weekend for you Americans?
My truck has been up on jack stands for 3 weeks pisses me off, I wouldlike to drive it maybe hit a few shows, rent a trailer and pull it with the RAM for a double show LOL.

As it turns out, they are extremely disorganized. I called them last Thursday and somehow the order got routed to the wrong warehouse (or so they say). They said they would ship that day - 3 day select.

Friday AM I get a fedex tracking number which shows that it hasn't shipped yet.

Friday PM I get a fedex cancellation notice, saying that the shipment was cancelled

Sent them an email Monday telling them to just cancel the order if it hadn't shipped - I can get mats of another brand off the shelf.

Get a ship notice again Monday and no response to my email - supposedly they will be here Thursday.

I'd be extremely unlikely to deal with these folks in the future

Sorry to hear your having problems!

I have been using their floor liners for years now and nothing compares!

I received my fronts the next day when I went to my local accessory shop. The rear's were still in production.

I called a 6 weeks ago and they said they now have the mold for the rears and could take my order but I decided to wait as I have been spending money on other parts for my truck and it's not winter out.

I will order the rears soon.

i've also had these for about a month and love them. i tried a few others before and nothing i saw compares.
with that said, if you don't have the center console you are going to want to leave the original front mat in place and use the new ones over them. the center hump has two HUGE gashes in the carpet that are very visible without the center hump cover.
i have not been able to find a carpeted center cover that does not have the side mats attached. i was thinking about cutting my stock mat so the weather techs fit properly on the hooks.
any other ideas?
