U Connect Phone and HDD
Problem 1
Well I'm finally starting to figure out my REN. I down loaded some songs, but don't know how to put them into seperate playlists. I saved different folders on my flashdrive USB and saved them as "country, rock, hard rock, classic rock...ext.". I thought they would be saved as different playlists because they were in different folders, but I was wrong. I also thought that I could go to genrue and play the music that way, but it seems to be messed up. I press genrue and it lists the music types; my list looks like this (17)Rock, but when i press it only one song shows up.
Problem 2
I am told that my phone is not compatable, although it is blue tooth capable. It is a Casio Boulder and getting a new phone isn't an option as I am to irresponcible to own a phone that can't be droped from a 30' tree stand, in the river or left in the boat over night in the rain.
Question- is there anything I can plug into it or any U connect software upgrades that will make it compatable?
Can anyone give me some helpful info? I'm computer illiterate.
I appritiate it.

just my 2cents:
1. load songs from cds or only one cd/playlist on your thumb drive @ a time. this will allow you to create playlists individually.
2. i assume you mean your phone will not connect to uconnect? if that is the problem, i would not think there is a solution. buy a used razor on ebay <$25.
if your problem is that your address book will not download after your phone connects to the truck, i have not found a solution yet. i even downloaded my phonebook onto a "smart" phone, then connected to truck under a different "slot". it downloaded my phonebook on to the truck. however, when the smart phone disconnected the phonebook was not available.

Ok i give up on the phone because Im not changing service to a different one but....
Im convinced the ren is junk. I down losded all the music from my flash drive using USB port and it didn't transfer everything over. I noticed when trying to find some of my favorite songs. downloaded about 6 gigs. Anyone else having simular problems?

the music has to be in a particular format buck. if you have some of your music in mp4 (a common format) the truck will not see them.
try using mp3. we had a thread about this a few days ago but i can't find it.
i'll give it another try and forward it to you.
good luck

Woooh, Just found it thanks. Can't believe I didn't check that. Sometimes it's hard to search for stuff like that. I'll convert the files and be happy about my truck again.
About the phone, I was sure I would find a device that I could plug in to my phone or radio for it to work, but oh well, you can't win them all.
