Ok. Thanks for all of the advice. I picked up the bug and tar remover today and the wax. I am just going to wash it, remove the tar, wash it again, and then wax it. I do not have the time to clay bar it right now. I figure I will just clay bar it towards the end of summer early fall right before hunting season when it is ready to get really dirty and not washed so much. Thanks for all of the advice gang love this site.

Yes, clay bar with the tar still there would have been bad. I personally like goo gone. takes tar off no problem.

Removed some last night and I used a small amount of mineral spirits on a clean rag and it came off very easily!
