what would be involved in making a truck remote start? it looks like the same key setup i have.

would it be a simple swap in keys?

looks like you would just have to buy the key thing have it installed and you should be ready to go but you should talk to your dealer first

They have to install a control box in your truck, you'd be way better off with an aftermarket system

Agreed. For the price you'd have to pay for a Mopar remote start system from the dealer, an aftermarket system for the same price would also give you much better range and perhaps even a feedback keychain. I can't say I'm thrilled with the range of the OE remote start....

Remote start has to be added at the dealership cause when your done the veh will not start if you do it yourself you will need a tow truck.

I added my own and let me tell you I would never add aftermarket crap to my truck cutting and spliing wires

as far as the range my add on can reach over 100 yards away , guys are blown away at its range, by the good one from chrysler

I see it the other way, when i can have an alarm specialist install a state of the art alarm with remote start that reaches 1 mile away with every gadget you can ever want, why would i have a dealer mechanic with an installation diagram do it
