All I know is my stock inverter runs my laptop, camera charger, etc. just fine. I even keep an extension cord in the truck so the backseat passengers can plug in if need be. Great for road trips.

If you're planning on running heavier duty items than a generator is probably your best bet. Sams and Costco have some decent deals.

The 2500 used to come with a work truck package that had an under the hood generator in it I believe. That may have been what you saw at the construction site?

I thought there was also a plug on the back of the console for rear seat passengers?

My bad. I was using 12 volts not 120 volts in my post and calculation. 120 volts divided by 150 watts is 1.25 amp. My mistake.
