Strange error codes.
Yesterday afternoon I pulled into my driveway and the "Serv 4wd" light came on and stayed on. Also the "ESP BAS" light came on. Looked in the book and it just said to take it to the dealer to have it checked. Well called the dealer this morning and scheduled to take it in Monday. Had to run some errands and noticed that the cruise control didn't work. On the way home the lights went out and the cruise worked. Go figure. Everything is fine now. I was wondering if anyone has seen this before. And now debating whether to take it to the dealer or not.

I had my backup sensor continually giving me error codes. At first I thought it was because the sensors were dirty, but it happened even after I cleaned them. I had the dealer check it out and as it turns out there was a fault code for low voltage from the battery. They said with a bad battery, you can get all kinds of quirky electrical errors. Once they replaced the battery I never had any more issues. Although I only had problems with my back up sensor, your electrical issues could be because of the same 'low voltage' fault. You'll have to have the dealer check for that one though because it didn't say anything about low voltage on the evic.

That's what I figured. I'll take it in on Monday. Thanks

Hi long time lurking first post here... I had this exact same problem, it was intermittent then would be on for a few days and continued, if I was driving and my dash lit up like a christmas tree you could also hear a slight noise like the ESP kicking in. For me it was a faulty rear wheel speed sensor. Got the sensor changed and no more lights.
My truck won't shift out off what its in (electronic 4wd) then i get the light "serv 4wd". This only happens when its below 0'c outside, and as the truck/drive train worms up, it works...sometimes. It's been stuck in '4wd auto' for a couple of days now and its pissing me off. so i guess its off to the dealer again.

Same thing here. Drove to work Monday in "Auto 4WD" without any problems, then when pulling out of work the "SERV4WD" code pops up. Truck would not go out of Auto 4WD all the way home. Got home, shut the truck off, restart the truck and drove around the block without the "SERV4WD" code coming up again. Strange. I will have them look at it the next time it's in the dealer. BTW - the high temperatue here on Monday was only about 10 degrees F.
