What kind of manufacturer isn't using a temp controlled dyno room? Seems like they would have no way to back up any of their HP gains if they are not running at a standard temperature.

I wonder if they changed the temp to make the XD look bad. As in, I wonder if they forced hotter air into it and then forced colder air into theirs?

Or maybe they are right and the XDI does make the truck lose power?

Ask for dyno sheets.

Like I said somewhere in here.....those make you lose power except theirs of course. Unless you tell your truck that you have that thing you computer throws more gas at more air. So you lose mileage. My 03 Durango 400 bucks later to find out I am getting worse mileage with a cold air intake, and I had that on for quite a while. It made nice sound under the hood. That is what they are good for. JMHO I sold it to a guy in quebec who was afraid to import but would buy everything he wanted thru me. Last thing he ever bought off me, he was pissed he got worse mileage too.

No one has a temp controlled chassis dyno. But more often than not the dyno gives SAE corrected numbers to compensate for pressure and temp differences.

I would try emailing true flow to see if they have dyno numbers for the xdi on the 09, maybe mention a competitor is testing it and claiming it causes a power loss.
