You can disable traction control by disconnecting the front wheel speed sensors. The rears would probably also work, though I have not tried that. You'll get 3 lights on the dash, but I've gotten so used to them I don't notice them anymore.

Our only hope is that Diablo Sport comes out with a good programmer soon!

People think your crazy because you're so radical about it. We all agree with you and will most likely buy the D/S when it comes out, but there is nothing we can physically do to speed up the process.

As far as the ESP goes, someone on here said it was a government required safety feature? The thread was a guy that wanted to swap his rear end. They're always sticking their nose where it shouldn't be. Anything to interfear with capitalism, free market, and the ideoligy that our ansesters sacraficed everything for.

What's wrong with the hypertek? Does super chips have one in the works?
I don't know much about programmers, so I don't know what the difference in companies are.

You can't turn off ESP? My truck has an ESP button on the dash and you can certainly turn it off and roast the tires.

I don't know for sure? I think the button may control the sensitivity of it.

I'll guarantee that it's really off when I switch it off on mine. I've currently got a mud pit in front of my house and I can spin the tires as fast as I feel comfortable without it kicking in.

With it turned on, the muck is so slippery it just stops the wheels completely.

Maybe we should just exchange numbers and talk. Maybe it is that way, I wish the switch would stay off after you shut the truck off. That is annnoying when you need to turn the truck off and on.

ESP does not turn off when the button is pushed, it partially removes the esp function. In 4wd lock the button can pushed for 5 seconds and the EVIC will say "ESP off," this means esp is completely off but only in 4wd

I wonder if there is a way to trick the PCM into thinking that the 4wd is engaged, when it really isn't. That would allow ESP to shut off in 4wd. I have been looking through the service manual for a way.

You may be right, but according to what I read in the truck manual, there are different modes for 2 wheel and 4 while drive trucks. And even if in the off mode, it will switch back on at a 40 mph wheel spin, and then there is partial off, lol. Read pages 340 and 341 in your manual and see if you can make sense of it, because I sure as heck can't
