Thumbs up Smoked Rear Tail lights (before and after)

I just got my tail lights back and they look sweet!!! I had them leave the white parts un-smoked so that it will give it good contrast with the chrome all over the truck. Notice even the third brake light is done. This would look great on any Dark color truck or even a white with limo tint! What do you guys think

Before smoked tail lights

AFTER! SUBTLE BUT CLEAN, WOW!!

Thanks for that. Now I will have to sell another item to the wife for her approval!

Some cold hard $$$, I took it into one of the local paint shops that has been smoking lenses for quite a while. At first I thought it was a film so I was completely surprised and impressed when I heard that it was a paint (special type for lenses). They can also do the headlights but I figured that would just be pushing it just a little too much (cops)!! I am going to swap out the bulbs to some hyper-white maybe LED's to give me that added brightness that I am going to need now that the lenses are smoked.

They look nice. How much did it cost, if you don't mind?

That looks way better. I doubt the cops would notice though. With it not being a cover, you can play dumb and tell them it's stock if they would question them. Probably would get nailed for the front ones. Had smoke headlight covers on my mustang when I was younger, coppers made me take them off so much, that they ended up just laying in my trunk till I sold it.

I used some VHT nightshade on mine. Cost $9 on ebay since i couldn't find it in the sores. As long as the colors go through when you brake and signal it shouldn't be a problem. Here's mine. Did it myself.

That is not bad at all considering it is a real pain in the to do them yourself.
