I have my first rattle as well. Mine is where the plastic meets the drink holder. Plastic on plastic. I just used some thin foam that had a sticky side and it is gone now.

 

I want to re-open this thread. I find that theres usually many people with the same issues.(like the center trim ring squeak). Helps to know if your truck is not an unusal case. (I thought my a/c blower fan speed **** was loose and wonky untill I went back to the dealer and found another new truck with the exact same thing going on.)
Anyway, I have a truck without the center console, and theres a small squeak coming from the vicinity of the center drop-down cupholder twords the passenger side. It's small, but it's there and I do most of my driving without the radio on... so it's always there.
Anyone else?

 

Yep, I've had this rattle at both locations since day one. I've pretty much figured I'm better off attempting to fix it myself, and reading suggestions from this thread. I figure if the dealership has it, they'll create another noise issue ripping apart the entire console, lol.

 

I have had that chrome ring off 5 times now and it does not make any noise I was afraid it would but so far none. I did have that squeak in the lower center console same as you just a unoticeable rub of lithium grease so it wont get stuff dirty but got rid of the squeak. I don't classify that as a problem, that should be maintainance a moving part, lock, latch usually needs grease at some time. Dealer would want to change the whole thing out and probably break something.
