Default moved over from the 3rd gen and wanted to say Hi.

Hello everyone, I picked up my new Ram last night and so far I couldn't be happier. I got a QC ST 4x2 with the 4.7 and the 3.92 with the anti-spin. Paid under 20k out the door for it. I look forward to some good discussion with everyone. Here is a picture of the new truck.

I think you are going to love the new Hemi over the old 5.9.

All we need now is to have Diablo finish their product so we can get rid of this torque management, slow off the line problem fixed.

Under 20k is a very nice price.

Welcome.

He got a 4.7 not a hemi. I'm wondering if it would be possible for you to make a post without talking about the Diablo stuff?

OP - nice truck. Good to see that you can still get a basic but still very nice truck for under 20K these days.

I am dumb. The 4.7 will still be a great improvement.

Welcome, many of us came from 3rd gen trucks. My 09 is my third Ram in a row. I had 95 (5.9), 02 (4.7), and 09 (5.7). Dodge is by far the best most trouble free trucks that I have ever owned. The is a wealth of info on the new truck here in the forum.

Now that you have driven that HEMI around, how big of a difference is there between that built 5.9 and the stock 5.7?

Well I have the 4.7 and the throttle response is not what I had on the 5.9 but it is quicker and alot stronger. Definetley much quicker once off the line. I to am waiting for Superchips to get a program together. I am hoping it will be on the same 3865 platform they used on the the older trucks, that is why I am keeping mine for now.

I still have a 3rd Gen

The new 4.7, which was in the late 3rds is a good engine.

Yeah I agree. They took the slow out and really beefed it up. The more I drive it the better it feels. I am sure it is just me getting used to the new truck.
