Ok now I am confused. I put mine on about two weeks ago. It went on quick with no issues. Everyone is mentioning the shims. I found once the track was secured against the plastic fender cap it was level and flush. No need for shims. Where did you guys use the shims??

There were no shims with the BakFlip for my crewcab, and it didn't need any.

From what I've read the shims are for the Quad cab models, the CC were not needed.
