i do know i hated the seats in some of the lower priced models... like the afgan rug looking brown on some of them...
i guess i take for granted some of the features on my truck... i wonder what else my truck has that cheaper models dont...
i think 2 glove boxes is one...

The 2 glove boxes is one difference, the 120V plug, there's a bunch, I can't remember them all
So, i went into dodge today and they said my esp modual went out. Thats why my steering wheel controls and horn don't work. They ordered the part and stuck me in an ugly *** mazda 5 till monday. Hopefully it works so i can get my baby back and ditch the minivan. I'll keep ya"ll updated.
I am surprised the ESP module has anything to do with the steering wheel and controls. I wonder if it was already an issue on your truck and they could not find any other issues (had they not figured out you switched a bunch of things) they assumed that was what is causing it.
I have wondered if something went wrong with my MYGIG, if they would not pick up that I got it on ebay after I bought my truck and fix it... Hopefully I won't have to find out.

They told me that because there is a problem with the esp, it might cause the airbags to deploy.
They had no idea i swapped all the parts, and funny thing is i took my ram in for its first oil change in march with 3000 miles. Then i took it in for a rapid response for a problen with the truck lid cover coming off with 174 miles end of last month and they had no idea. They said because my truck only had 784 miles they would not charge me to fix it. When i bought the cluster it had 23 miles on it and my truck had 4460 miles and it was all done by the same service rep.

Any updates to this, were you able to get the wheel working?
A few questions to if you dont mind, how much were the cluster and the wheel? Also on the cluster, is everything accurate to your truck? Does it display the correct miles you've driven on the truck, or just how many on the new cluster?

The service manager noticed tge mileage change, and told me maybe my after market alarm shorted the system and reset the mileage. I picked up the truck and told them i would take to best buy to check it out. The service manager wanted Best Buy to fix it or pay for a new cluster which runs around $2000 according to him or my wife mentioned what if just drive it around so we have more mileage on the truck and he laughed and said that too. They can't fix it and report the low mileage since last time i brought it in it had 2700 miles. So im just gonna drive the truck alot put about 4000 miles on it and take it back.
The wheel brand new was $127 and the cluster was $125 with 41 miles on it. I got the from LKQONLINE throught ebay.

They are gonna figure it out when they take it apart, each part, or most parts I should say are bar coded and scanned to match the vehicle as an idiot proofing on the line to be sure the right parts are installed, scan the vehicle then the part and install it. Now when they pull out those parts they will not match the vehicle and well I think they are gonna figure out what you did and your warranty will have a new name called VOID. These days they don't play around I asked about doing my own oil changes, the dealer said ya go ahead but be sure you record mileage and the stuff you buy for your truck the date must match. So if you go out and buy bulk oil or a box of 6 oil filters that might cause you grief if you were to have engine problems. But I said any idiot can tell if an engine's oil has been changed properly or not, just take one valve cover off and if it's all gummed up in there first clue you have a liar on your hands. I have taken valve covers off engines with over 100K miles because of a broken valve spring or whatever and they were my vehicles that I changed the oil every 3000 miles or 2/3 months depending on usage.....inside was like new except for pieces of metal all over, but no sludge, carbon, nothing. So really if you are doing proper oil changes it will show. You will probably have to have a new bung welded on your oil pan from wearing out the threads on the oil pan LOL.
