Stereo Install Update Part 2
Did you use Dynamat or a similar product anywhere other than the doors?
I am planning to do the doors, rear wall, and under the rear seat. If I have enough I may also do under all the carpet, not sure if I want to tear all that up.

Hate to bombard you with questions, but what is involved with hooking an AMP up via speaker line inputs? The amp I bought Kenwood 9104D, has these for this and it also eliminates the need for a remote line. Never done this, if anyone else knows (yellowdetonator ;-) ) I would appreciate the info. If its too much I will just dish out another 40 for the PAC adapter. Just curiouos.

Man! I woulda took the Dynamat off your hands, but I already have a roll on the way. No biggie, someone else may take it off you hands. Thanks though.
Okay with the amp, so one the amp would the left and right speakers + be in the the same slot and the right and left - be in the same spot. Is the amp powering the speakers, because it seems like the speakers will now go through the amp? here is a pic of the amp I bought.

I bought that amp which is a mono 1800 watt amp 900 rms. I am on a budget so I just bought replacement speakers, with no intent at this time of powering them by the amp. The subs are (2) 12" Kenwood KFC 3012 Dual 4ohm voice coils. I got a decent deal on this package, and they sound decent (listened to them in best buy).
i appreciate your help man.
Kenwood KFC 9104D specs, these throw me off here....
500 watts RMS x 1 @ 4 ohms
900 watts RMS x 1 @ 2 ohms
900 watts RMS x 1 @ 1 ohms stable

Hehe i fell asleep on the couch last night posting a reply to this thread, ambien are awesome
.
Im sure there is a simple device that will let you "tap into the left and right rear speaker leads and will give you an rca out to drive that amp.
You do NOT want to cut the speaker leads like i mentioned before for this kind of install. We need the help of some guru so we get the right part that does the job and cost the least. Detonatoryellow is out of town. Lets PM Bigred3297 or Uashemi. and see what they have to say.
Thanks
Lee
