I just got them, they are beautifully done.

The only problem is, the directions say I need to use a 1" hole saw and drill 12 holes!! I assumed, since it is not written anywhere, that they used the factory holes. I am not so happy now.

Make that 6 holes, not 12. I'll take pics and show them.

So, I get three holes drilled and it starts pouring rain, lightening, thundering. I also shot a clip, that has a nut on it for the bolt, up the body channel.

I was also letting the oil drain. I have no oil in the truck right now! Good thing I don't have to drive anywhere.

With all the holes available under there for steps, it's a real shame you have to drill new ones. Shouldn't of been much of an issue to make them work with these bars when they designed the brackets. I think they really look good but the drilling would probably shy me away.

Let us know if there was room for the molded mud flaps in front of the bar when you get them installed.

Wow Sarguy01 sorry you had to be the one to find out . But thanks for the post, i had found a powder coat shop and was about ready to order mine. There is no way in hell I'm drilling 6 1" holes in my frame rails to mount steps. And you called me crazy for drilling 2" holes in my door panels to mount tweeters. You got *****!

I drilled into the underside of the body, not the frame rails. I will get pics up soon to show everyone.

Dumb question: Could you have used the rivnuts that come with the Mopar side steps, to avoid cutting the holes?

The rivnuts go in the same hex holes that the mounting hardware ends up in for the bars you got, so I imagine if the thread is the same, rivnuts would be an option.
