Default satellite glitch

Just thought I'd throw this out there for everyone. had a glitch in my sat radio. Lost signal when I shut off my truck under the roof to get fuel, normal. But when I left, it would not re-acquire signal. Turning radio off and on did nothing, as did switch to cd and fm. Shut the truck off, and re-started, and that did the trick.

That seems to be the solution for all of these little computer glitches, turn off truck and re-start.

I have one of the non-mygig sat radios.

I lost signal a couple weeks ago. I usually do loose it on this little section of road due to LOTS of trees. When I came out it did not come back, did not think twice, changed to FM and on my way home put it back to SAT. Like I said, did not think anything of it, chalked it up to a comm issue.

I lose my sat signal every evening as soon as I pull in the driveway and get under the metal carport. I wouldn't say its actually a glitch its just that it cant pick up the signal under there. I never lose/lost the signal anywhere else and as soon as I back up from under the carport I get my signal back immediately though.

I lose my signal often just going under bridges on the expressway. Very sensitive bad antennas on the truck! I've had sat radio on other vehicles, aftermarket and factory and this Ram is the worst.

On our GM it's not too bad.
I added it to my truck about 3 years. If it becomes a bi issue, you can swap antennas out for a high gain. It helps a lot around trees.

Losing signal wasn't the glitch. Trust me, I know how it works. That it never acquired signal for 5 miles after the sky was clear until I shut the truck off, that was the glitch.
