Long process, I just read up on others who have done it. You have to bake them in the over to loosen the glue, then pick it out and eventually open them up. Then you paint them get a gasket maker, hope you get them sealed and enjoy. Easier said then done.. hehe prob took a total of about 4-6 hours over the last two days.

Cost would have been about $205.00 and i'd be without headlights for 1 week or so. I didn't cost me but $5 bucks because most of the things I needed I already had. I figure do it myself, if they wind up fogging up then i'll just buy them when they come out, and if they do well I saved 200 bucks. Plus I enjoy working in the garage, its like my hobby.

First off damm that looks good you did a really good job on that front end and all around you have a solid looking truck.

So how are the lights holding up and what sealer did you end up using?

Thanks

So far so good. I used RTV gasket adhesive, sold at advanced auto. I then did another coat with a clear silicone. Didn't like how it looked, it was a whitish color. Peeled it off and bought RTV ultra black, not happy because its like grey. Still its dark where you can't really see it unless you bend down and look in the cracks around the light. However I thought ultra BLACK would be BLACK, kinda pissed about that.

HID's come today, and wiring kit. I got one new shallow mount sub and the other should be here wednesday.

Everything is looking good, I can't wait to see how your system turns out. I would never do it, but I have always liked the look of enclosures.
