Yeah, the muffler definitely is supposed to be toward the back. Is the extention pipe welded onto the front of the muffler? Or is it clamped?

Here is their picture. It is looking back to front. Muffler is definitely behind the extension.

The extention pipes are welded. Does any one know if it is simular to a cherry bomb, meaning it can go on ether way? Or does it have an in out flow path? The same picture is on the instructions not that I would've put it on touching the cross member.

I read somewhere that the Magnaflow can go either way.

That is different from the dual, the extension pipes are on the back of the muffler. See my DIY for pics.

I tell you what, these guys make it hard to complain. I called this morning and told them my problem and as I was on the phone they went to build me another one. I called to see how they were doing this afternoon and they told me they had already sent it out. Yes I was inconvenienced, and frustrated by the mistake, but they didn't give me any problem at all. They sincerely apologized and fixed the issue immediately. I was a mechanic for 9 years so I realize that mistakes are made, however it is how those mistakes are corrected that separates companies apart. Their customer service has been second to none since I first ordered their product. TruckAddons should take note, they had the worst customer service I have ever seen.
