Default Tpms

If I want to put some winter rims on that don' t have the proper valves stems to make the TPMS work is there a way to shut it off till summer, I can live without knowing if my tires are low cuz they always are in the winter.

I don't see any way to disable it. Looks like a set of 4 sensors will cost you $128

I don't know how to disable it, but I know that the 08's won't work with the 09's.

No problem. I almost made the same move awhile ago.

Man I can get a brand new set of 17 inch steel wheels from an 09 RAM but the valve stems will cost me more. I want smaller rims for winter, I will put enough tire in there, some coopers....I should check does anyone know the width on the 17 inch standard steel rims the ones with just a bunch of round holes around and a center cap. I just don't care for those GY HP's in the snow even with 4wd. They don't do corners good...tend to slide.

I Just purchased a set of 17's off Ryan ( great guy BTW)
I was told by a mechanic ( non dodge) that without the TPMS the power output is reduced ( aka fuel saver mode).

Has anyone run without the TPMS? I would like to find out before I order the sensors,
The rims are for a set of winters and if I can save some coin, why not ???

That was my plan I can get a set of plain jane steel 17" for 125 brand new for all 4 don't know if tpms valves are there or not, not expecting but don't want to ask just in case they are.I am just worried they will be too narrow for some decent tires for winter? Anyone know how wide the 17" standard steel rims are?

I just pulled up a 2wd ST at my dealers lot and the window sticker says 17" x 7.0" Steel Argent Wheels. I don't know if the 4x4 has a different size or not but I'd guess they are the same. My dealer doesn't have any 4x4 ST's. http://www.dodge.com/hostc/getWindow...HB16K09J524131
