Default Where did you put your air lift valve?

I purchased an Air Lift 1000 Rear Leveling Kit after pulling a large boat over the weekend. my '09 4x2 1500 laramie squatted down about 8 inches with the load.
I am not putting on the compressor and gauges until I see that this will satisfactorily take care of my issues.
My Question: if anyone has done this install w/o the on-board compressor, where did you put your inflation valve?
I have ramboxes and was thinking about concealing it inside.
Thx in advance

Putting it in the rambox is actually a really good idea, my buddy here that installed them on his 09 put the valve out the back by the license plate. Its easy to get to and doesnt show.

There are two holes already on the hitch, I just drilled a hole on the back side of the hitch to run the air line thru and obviously mounted the valve from the front.

If you look between the tailgate and the bumper there are two small holes. I ran separate lines for each bag to those holes; no drilling at all, and its a really easy install when you have a friend with a lift.

thx mmmmrice,
did you stuff the bags through the spring or take the springs off all together to get the bags in. it looks like there are two methods depending on which website used.
the tailgate clears the valves ok when opened i guess? those holes sure look convenient.

There is an install video on the Firestone site and the guy just flattens them and fits them through the spring. Looks pretty easy.

There is a extremely thick rubber spacer that sits on top of the bag and between the bag and top spring mount. Unless someone has found the trick, there is no way you are going to be able to slip it between the coils. I see no other way than to take the spring out.

Thats what I was thinking.

If you put the truck on a lift or jack it up by the frame until the rear axle is off the ground you can yank the rear springs out without unhooking anything. Also when you put the valves in those holes, you can have as much thread sticking out as possible and still clear the tailgate; its also easier to air them up.
