Hi All:
My truck was made on 08/18/08 at 10:A.M. according to the door sticker. The last 6 numbers of the ID are 707710. I don't where the number sequence starts so my truck could be anywhere fron the seven thousandth one made to the tenth one. I don't think they made seven hundred thousand by this date.

For whatever reason, they don't build the VIN's in order. Also, the first several hundred units are always engineering vehicles. Finally, I believe the Detroit based plant started building Rams approximately a month before the St. Louis based plant.

IIRC, the last 6 id numbers start with a 5 or 7 depending on plant.

The door sticker has 3 small letters just before the numbers. They are MDH. They are for MONTH,DAY,HOUR. Mine are 81810. This translates to August 18 10:00 A.M.

I'll have to look at this when I get home from work today. My truck was also assembled in August 08.
