Question R/T owners can you do me a favor please???

I need to ask you guys a favor if you can help. Since the RT has the new loose torque converter and a bit more power running through the drive train than the 3rd gen rams, can I get you guys to post up a close up pic of the trans cooler in them? Or tell me how many rows it has for cooling or if it has the HD trans cooling or just the normal stock 12-14 row cooler?

I need to find this info as a reference of what i need to get for my 3rd gen with my new converter so I can order the parts by tomorrow afternoon (not the 09 parts but the better trans cooler that available for the 3rd gens). I hope most of that makes sense to you guys....

How big of a converter did you get? You should be able to just go with a mid 20k gvw cooler and call it a day.

ITs going to be a 2800 stall APS Converter along with a few other things as well. Really I just need to know what size you guys have on your trucks. If its the standard size Im not going to stress it as much as if its the larger one or aluminum HD one.

I gotcha. I can take a look in the morning to see what's there if no one else has chimed in.

I had a huge stall(4200) on my '98z28, and the best thing I did was go overkill on the cooler. My brother-in-law had it left over from a project he had that stalled, it was something crazy like 48k gvw. I drove the hell out of that car, and the trans temp was never even close to being an issue.

I just went out there with my flashlight lol. I'm not sure what the HD units look like, but this one is long and skinny, maybe like 2ft long and 4-5 inches tall.

The one I was looking at today (05' +) had an aluminum casing and had 14-16 rows for cooling (8-10" tall stretches the full length across the radiator and is about 1/4" - 1/2" thick).

This one is definitely not 8" tall, but it's more like an inch thick and is pretty long. I'm not sure if they changed styles though with the new truck? Do all the hemi trucks come with trans coolers?
