I am a little over 3K now, no oil change light yet. I am waiting to see how the computer feels my driving habbits are. I have heard some of you got the light just before and after 3K.

 

Mine just came on for the first time at 5,600 miles. I had mostly highway miles.

 

Mine hit at 5800...

Mine came on at 2,500 and again at 8,600...

 

I'm at 5,600 miles and the light came on the for the second time. I use mine to tow my boat about 80% of the time.

 

I don't drive my truck to often, and it came on at 2600 miles, I just got her the first oil change yesterday.

 

I'm also low milage driving type with lots of short trips. I change mine every 3K or 6 months which ever comes first. Did the first change before the light came on and reset the system.

 

No i changed my oil when the computer told me to, I did not reset it.

 

Mine came on at 2500

 

Slightly off topic, but what's everyone using when they change the oil? I'm 1K in, and I'd like to change the oil at 3K just to give her a fresh start, even if the light doesn't come on. In my last truck I always used FRAM oil guards and 10-30 Pennzoil full synthetic.
