The RAM Box basically takes up both wheel well areas of the bed. So, the inside of the box looks more like a step side box rather than the fleet side box that it really is. While the RAM Box is nice if you're carrying around a bunch of small objects and tools then it's a great option. However, sounds like you're planning on really carrying some stuff back there, so you'd probably be better off with the normal box. I'm pretty sure a jetski would be narrow enough to fit in a RAM Box, but the ATV would probably not make it, especially if you've got the really knobbier and wide tires on it.

It's the standard width between the wheel wells. In fact I think it is wider than 4 feet between the wheel wells. I am sure you can get the dimensions somewhere. I could measure it but my wife is working and she wont be back until late tonight. I will forget by then.

On mine I measured both to make sure . I always had a alium. tool box mounted on my trucks. The ram box is 52" wide , my 400cc polaris will fitt. If I had a tool box on a reg bed Mine would not fit lenght of the bed .
The room you loose is on width top of the fender wells ?

I work out of my truck and what was in my alium. tool box fits in both sides of the ram box

Thanks for the replys. I like the idea of the Ram box but I just don't want to loose much box width. I have a Honda Rincon ATV with mudlites I just wanted to make sure it fits no problem.

Great site by the way.

before you buy, take the 4-wheeler down there and load it up. I trailer my [2] almost all the time , and carry one in the bed ?

Unless you have an enormous 4 wheeler, it should fit just fine, I can fit a full size lawnmower in mine without removing the deck or anything, just drive it up on there. And actually when I was looking for a truck, I really didn't want the rambox cause I wanted the extra room. I settled for one with them though because I really wanted a gray one and it was the only one on the lot. I had no idea how handy those boxes would be though, and how much room it would free from the cabin. I keep all kinds of stuff in there now. It's great! I'm glad I have them now.

and is the 1500/2500/and the 3500 all the same width? Thank you.

My neighbor has a brute force 750 that fits in his 2010 with the ram boxes, he can't quite close the tailgate due to length
