What kind of mirrors are those? They don't look like factory 2009 Ram?

Those look like the same bases that my 2009 1500 uses with different heads on them

Bump... anyone have any more suggestions on mirrors? I almost ran over a corrola this morning when I was changing lanes (little bastard was hiding in my passenger side blindspot!), so I need to get some convex mirrors to avoid this situation in the future.

I'd love to get the ones shown in the pic at allpar.com but I can't find them anywhere!

I believe those are the flip-up factory 'trailer tow mirrors' available on the Ram 1500. They have integrated blinker, courtesy lamp, and are heated. Rob

They look just like mine too but mine are black not chrome, and they are NOT the trailer towing mirrors. They do however fold in for parking on streets, storage, whathaveyou.

The mirrors in that pic (with the large convex section) are the trailer tow mirrors. If they are chromed they are from the Laramie. If they are black they are from a lower model. They do flip up to a wider position. Rob

I have those on my '10 1500 I just got and honestly don't like them. I'd rather have a regular full size mirror and either a horizontal convex on the bottom or stick on my own fish-eye. I find when I glance at it the two blend too much and it has an almost kaleidoscope effect. You don't get enough of the regular mirror and the convex doesn't show enough out wide for me. I'm going to look into a dodge replacement but I'm sure it would be very expensive. Other than the mirrors I love my truck.

thanks for the input. I tend to agree that the mirrors would be much better designed to mimick the Ford F-250 mirrors with the convex on the bottom.

I didn't realize that these were the extra wide dodge trailer mirrors. Guess I'm going to keep searching or stop by my local auto part store to get some stick on's.

The convex is on the bottom - when the mirrors are flipped up to the towing position.

Too bad you are not in MN - I'd swap you mirrors. You are right, the replacements are extremely expensive
