I have those on my '10 1500 I just got and honestly don't like them. I'd rather have a regular full size mirror and either a horizontal convex on the bottom or stick on my own fish-eye. I find when I glance at it the two blend too much and it has an almost kaleidoscope effect. You don't get enough of the regular mirror and the convex doesn't show enough out wide for me. I'm going to look into a dodge replacement but I'm sure it would be very expensive. Other than the mirrors I love my truck.
I'd swap you mine if you'd like. I could even ship you mine first so you don't have any downtime. I'll send ya a PM.
i'm confused, so the mirror rotate 90 degrees clockwise to put the convex on the bottom? That's kinda stupid, why wouldn't they just design something that keeps the mirror on the bottom all the time?

Same way every other rotating towing mirror works. Personally I'd be happy with a set that was always in the upright position.
I'm hoping that the price comes down once these start hitting ebay. So far I only see the 2009 style rotators with the little square convex mirror.

Because this way you can have normal looking (and normal width) mirrors most of the time and taller, extra-wide mirrors with the convex in the optimal location when you flip them up for towing. Remember, these are larger than the non-towing mirrors so the flat mirror area is probably about the same between the two. The convex piece just adds to the area. I suppose the only thing they could have done differently would be to have no convex piece and allow you to put your own on.
