Same thing was on my 1999 Dakota extended cab ... frankly i put 150k miles on that truck in the 10.5 years i owned it before buying my new 2009 Ram, and the black vinyl decal on mine held up perfectly over the years .. when i sold the truck, the decal was in 100% condition ..

I think I'm going to tint my front windows also. That being the case, I think the decals would look better left on.

 

I think all vehicles look classier with the door handles and mirrors same colour as the vehicle instead of a black truck with black plastic door handles. My window sticker has a delete black vinyl...something or rather.

 

black looks good with chrome.. i love my chrome handles on the black truck

 

I notice one of your or neighbors up the street has a Dodge, my next door neighbor has a white 09 lonestar, not sure how mine would look, it is black and the front windows are tinted to max so it looks pretty good now, I will have to go look at it and try to imagine the difference.
