Taking stuff off
Jeez,
I opened a can of worms here, didn't I? I was only curious as to people's motivation to do it.
As for my comment of devaluing, I was referring to when the truck gets traded, the buying dealer would likely have to spend money to put the truck back to its original state. New badges, wheels etc. They're thus likely to give you a lower offer than an original truck. Of course the truck will suffer depreciation anyway, but the rectification costs will just make that worse.
Anyway, what's all this hair-combing stuff? I'm bald as a coot, haven't owned a comb in 15 years

I agree with pretty much everyone. The only thing is, is that the more people see how you customized your truck, the more other people do the same. Every time I did a little something different with my old truck, someone did the same exact thing, pretty soon there were 3 trucks just like mine in the little town I live in. IT SUCKS

By the way, the value of these trucks doesn't drop to badly I don't think. My dad had the first year 3rd gen SLT (2002?) with no mods. He traded it in for the 2009 and got over $20,000. The truck was around $32,000 when he bought it. That seems decent for a 7 year old truck.
Ryan the 24s dont seem... special enough lol. So im going to either upgrade to 26s (or bigger) or get some 20s and throw them on 37 inch tires...
I want to put the 37s on but i wont be able to get into many parking structures here in la if i do... my daughters gymboree class and my college both have low ceilings...
i cant wait to move back to indiana where the sky really is the limit...
