yeah, mine came on around 2700 also. i read somewhere on a different post that you can reset the indication light by turning on the ignition, pressing the gas (fully) three times and then turning off the ignition. I haven't tried this yet because I had my oil changed before i read the post.
Mine hasn't came on yet. I have around 4900 miles and engine hours are 157. I did have it changed at 3000 but the light wasn't on.

Does the computer somehow know? Is it somehow looking at the quality of the oil to turn the notification on?
I changed mine at around 2000 km's just because I think the first change should be done early on, get all the dirt and whatever else might be floating around and I want to be sure the filter is not gonna be jammed up like sometimes happens if they don't oil the seal. I am gonna change me oil at 5000m/3000km whether or not the light comes on, the manual makes me laugh 10000km's or 6months is the requirement. I am doing an experiment one car from one dealer another at a different one so far they do have a lot of differences in prices one charges 50 bucks for an oil change on the Ram with HEMI at the place I bought it, at the other place I bought a different car they charge 29 plus 3 bucks for the extra couple litres of oil!! One place does their tire rotation completely wrong according to their manual and when I called them on it they said that is the way they do it, I said then undo it cuz I am not paying for it...ya they wanted to charge me on a car that was 6months old. So they said they will leave them at no charge I said no thanks I want them back it was too soon to change them anyway....5000KM's. Told them they were ripping me off and they got offended, I showed them the manual and how it was to be done and then how often....nowhere near the time. So the dealerships are trying to keep afloat when not selling car by ripping off their customers...Iam not loyal to one dealership, I was for years and found out they were ripping me off, how I found out was by buying another vehicle somewhere else and see that there aren't so many f'n fees, admin fee, this fee, that fee. I showed the new guy one of my old bills of sale and he said they jacked me for over a grand and then on that particular vehicle I didn'teven get employee price, 1000 bucks more. When I confronted them they had all kinds of excuses etc. I reported it to Customer Service and well so far nothing. I am hoping the dealer ship that screwed me on 3 cars with all these same BS charges will just cut me a cheque and offer me a deal on something I can't refuse. I hope Canada adopts the junker tradein deal and I hear dealerships are matching the 4500 bucks..so 9000 off plus employee price and anyother offers, might be a good time for a nother new car LOL, if my daughter can get 4500 for her jeep she paid 1500 for would be nice paid 3000 to drive it for a year or so. She can upgrade to a Dakota she has a Comanche pickup 2wd. I would like to put her in a 4x4 or at least front wheel drive.
