First things first....never never never use 4X4 on dry pavement. That could be a big part of the vibration. Also, check to make sure you weren't in 4 wheel Low.

Which selector switch does your truck have? Does it have full-time four wheel drive (AWD)?

ya i guess its fine on these newer vehicles, i though you were talking about either /A..doing 85 mph in 4H offroad which is insane or /B..cruising in 4H on the highway for better traction

I have the same shaking. Feels like the engine and trans/transfer case is shaking side to side. I first noticed it a few weeks ago on a gravel road in the north woods of Wisconsin. When I got home I tried 4X4 on a straight road (brand new black top) and the harder I hit the gas the more the shake was. Going to dealer tomorrow. I wish I could have held off to buy a 2010, wrecked my 2005 Ram and had no choice. All in all a good truck but there are to many little bugs that need to be worked out on my dime-sitting at dealer I lose money or fishing time.

Anyone found a fix for this? Mine does the same thing. It's definitely more pronounced on acceleration but can still feel some vibration/shake when coasting. I took mine to the dealer and they say it was the "power" of the Hemi causing "wheel jump". I've tried on both dirt and pavement and I get the same result, dealer says they feel it on pavement but not on grass. Feels like something is out of balance and it's not the tires or alignment as I've had those checked. Any thoughts?

um I frequently drive highway speeds in the winter in 4wd high. It doesn't hurt anything as long as you are not on dry pavement. My truck spends most of the winter in 4wd.

Sound like your Front driveshaft needs to be balanced.
