Question Your not going to believe this.

My dealer called today and asked how we like our truck? Then he asked if we still like the bright silver color? The he asked if we liked black trucks?
????????

Now he tells me that somehow when we bought this truck 2 1/2 weeks ago the paper work got mixed with the exact same truck in Black

So he says we can come get the new Black truck or come back to the dealership so we can get all the paper work corrected. So it seems we have 700 miles on a new truck that we don't own.

So now we are trying to decide if we want to keep the bright silver or go with black. We were looking at both before we took this one.
He also said he would do something to try to make up for the mixed up?

Have you ever heard of anything like this??

Look at your existing paperwork with the vin number and compare it to your trucks vin. If its the same, the dealership definitely is confused.

I think it'd really depend on how the trucks are optioned out. Whichever has the most options, then I'd go with it. If the options are the same, then the dealer would have to throw in some sweet perks to get me back down there. Oh, and either way you decide, I'd make the dealer do up the paperwork and come over to your house.

I had the wrong paperwork with mine too. I had put a deposit down on one truck but bought another truck that was almost identical(other than color, mygig), and they screwed up the VIN. We took care of it all through the mail.

They'll probably just throw in some oil changes and fill up your gas tank. Don't get your hopes up, but I would leave with the truck you really want.

Question

I don't get it. The paperwork you have doesn't match the vin# on the truck you now have? Am I the only guy that makes sure the vin matches when I am about to drive away at time of purchase?
