Lots of looking around.

I bought these Thursday. $460 shipped. There is also a Mopar nerf bar that goes from wheel to wheel and will fit both quad AND crew cab.

Brummo, can you send me a link to the bars you have on your truck? I really like them and want to get some ordered for when my truck finally comes in. Thanks!

I ordered a set of bars yesterday. When I bought the truck, my plan was to get out of the dealership as cheaply as possible, and then add on the things I needed later. So, looking at a spray-in liner, mudflaps, nerf bars, leather, remote start and possibly undercoating over time, while still keeping the truck payments low.
So, anyway, I figured I'd try low cost bars right now, and see if they hold up for a couple of years. I went with Truckchamp black 3". They wanted $167.00, with all hardware, delivered. Hey, who knows? Certainly not me... never had a truck before.

Good luck with the cheap bars. I know cost is an issue. Somethings are worth paying a little extra for IMO. Hope they last. Do they have a warranty? How long?

Well, heres the line they have with them on their website:

  • 5 yr warranty against rust ; E-coated on inside and outside of bars
  • 16 gauge 3" round tube with black powdercoated finish
  • Powder coated mounting hardware
  • Step pads at each door
  • Recessed, not cut out, step pads
  • No drilling required
  • Hi gloss powdercoat black finish
  • All required hardware included
  • Includes both passenger and driver side bar

I guess I'll have to see. Sometimes, knowing too much ends up costing me too much.
In this case, I just needed something right away for the wife, and as far as I know, their all the same. A few months from now, when their dull and cheap looking, I'll at least have a bit of empirical knowledge. I went through this same process 20 years ago when I got my first motorcycle, too.
